About Us

The Bridge Mission

  • Seek first the Kingdom of God (By daily aligning our lives to Gods way of doing things)
  • Articulate the Kingdom of God (By being a witness of what Jesus has done in our lives to the lost, our community, and families. By teaching the principles and keys of the kingdom. By the proclamation of the gospel of the kingdom.)
  • Demonstrate the Kingdom of God (By loving, caring, and sharing with others. By signs and wonders following those that believe. By being kingdom ambassadors wherever we go and letting the light of Christ shine through us whenever we can.)

The Bridge History

Pastor Smith was born and raised on the beautiful Island of Nassau, Bahamas. After returning to college from a summer break he made a decision in the airplane to give his heart to Jesus. In his early college years, he was invited to attend church by a friend and to also attend a student-led bible study in his residence hall hosted by another friend. After attending two sessions, the leader of the bible study's schedule changed, and he asked Pastor Smith if he could continue to lead the group. It was then that Pastor Smith began the journey of sharing his testimony, sharing the love of Christ, and sharing God’s Word.

Many souls were saved, healed and filled with the Holy Spirit. He began attending the college ministry and church of Faith Outreach Ministry where he experienced great fellowship and seasons of growth. It was here that Pastor Smith met his future wife, Mrs. Rochelle Smith. During these college years, Pastor Smith was also instrumental in organizing campus revivals, and college outreach services which included other participating colleges from the southeast. As a college student, Pastor Smith spent his summers back in his native country (Nassau Bahamas), where he attended believer's summits hosted by Dr. Myles Munroe. During these summers, he experienced great growth, mentorship, and a deeper understanding of the kingdom of God.

Pastor Smith served at Faith Outreach Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Wallace E. Cooley in various capacities such as: student leader, Sunday school teacher, associate minister, and board member. In 1999, Pastor Smith was licensed into the gospel ministry while serving in his local church.

After serving over fifteen years in his local church (twelve of which were in ministry), Pastor Smith, his wife and children were ordained, blessed and released by their church leadership to start their ministry and the Bridge Christian Center was born. The Bridge Christian Center received a proclamation from the city of Jacksonville, AL, welcoming them into the community in 2011. The Bridge has witnessed the power of God transform the lives of countless people.
